Sounds like you people are trying to fit a recliner from your living room into the car. Front of the seat all the way up?? Mine is nearly all the way down and my seat back is just a couple clicks back from vertical. The dead pedal is my leg support.

Exactly. Thankfully the center console is narrow at the bottom so that my legs can assume the "frog legs" position.

I still think two things would optimize it 100% for me. 1) More tilt to the cushion for more thigh support, and 2) raising the mirror that last 1/2" for more visibility up the road to the right.

I'm only 5'-11", but perfer to sit upright. Won't buy a car with a sun roof, for this reason. I'm going to remove the rear view mirror and put a rear view camera and monitor in. It will sit on the dash and I whould still be able to see the hood over top of the monitor. I can't see crap past the mirror in just about any car. Nearly been in a few accidents because of this. Not going to risk, the car that hasn't been delivered yet, to a large blind spot.

This is how I feel trying to adjust my seat.

The stalk that the mirror attaches to has a ball joint at each end.
  1. Pivot the stalk all the way up at the windshield.
  2. Then pivot the mirror into optimal viewing position at the mirror end of the stalk.

If you can't pivot the mirror down far enough in step two, you will end up pivoting the stalk down at the windshield a little. Which in turn lowers the elevation again, but it will be much better than how your car was delivered.

I guess I never noticed the mirror as an issue...

You said you are 6'1" and have your seat a bit upright. I'd think your mirror might prevent you from seeing up the road as far. Check it out.
I will definitely have a look. It's never been a distraction and with its position and my side mirrors, I do not have any blind spots. Once I got that set, I left it alone.

Guys, how far away from the kitchen table do you sit when you eat?

Haha have to echo BBBs thoughts here...

Took me all of 1 minute to adjust the seating position and controls for me. I'm 6'1" 34" inseam 200 lbs.

And I know I have the position down pat because it's in accordance with what I've learned in HPDE about optimum and safe seating.
