I agree that the seat is marginally too high - true in the base seats as well as the Recaros. I'm 6'4" and I find that the steering wheel doesn't telescope out enough either, so I have to either sit with my legs curled up or sit more upright than I would prefer.
I've chosen to just leave it alone and get used to it, but you could remove the seat, look at the brackets and come up with a way to modify them. Owners of classic Mustangs also sometimes modify the seat pans - the sheet metal component that the seat sits on. You would have to pull the carpet up and look at the structure of your car to determine whether something like that is an option.
