Have a 2019 with Vortech/JLT intake combo. Looking to add the ability to run an open blower when at the track. There are two lines that connect to the JLT. One is the Drivers Side 5/8" line from the valve cover, the other is a 3/8" line from a connection to the intake manifold (see photo). I currently have the UPR plug-n-play Catch Can that mounts on the Drivers side in front just under the Radiator cowl.

Now, I've read some older posts and spoke to a few folks about this. I'm pretty clear about how to deal with the 5/8" line from the Drivers Side. What I'm NOT clear at all about is what to do with the 3/8" line from the Intake.

Can I just leave them open to atmosphere or, will this create some sort of Vacuum leak? Not sure how that can happen but that's why I'm asking. I simple don't know. I know leaving them open isn't the best solution but it would only be at the track. I'd put the JLT back on for street duty.

The other option is putting a clean side separator with breather which would be ideal but not sure I have the real estate in my engine bay. But, it still doesn't address what to do with the 3/8" line from the Intake.

Appreciate some ideas from those who've been down this road.

Thanks in advance.

Are you talking about the IMRC line behind the intake? Are you able to post a picture of Where the lines are coming from?

alright our set ups are bit different which is understandable but in my opinion you should look into IMRC delete, first speak with tuner to see if they can do it, basically it will remove those lines that you have going on at the moment and it will connect to the Fore regulator directly which i can see you are running fore rails which i assume has a fore regulator, do you have a Blow off valve? that line will be deleted allowing you to put a cap on the intake. i will put pictures of how it looks on my set up with the IMRC delete.

This may NOT apply to your type of build but i would also speak to a possible Mechanic in your area as well or even Vortech themselves, i know procharger see's different things done with their products so im assuming Vortech has an idea to manifest your open blower idea

In the meanwhile, Wondering if I can just disconnect the lines from the JLT. That's really my quandary at this point.

just do it, if you have boost gauge just check before and after, run with and without. you should just need a plug at the moment over where the line is at on the Manifold.
