Hey guys,

Im installing an air filter directly to my paxton. Can I just disconnect this line that runs to the stock paxton air intake and let it open to the engine bay? Or do I have to do anything else? Also going to be putting a filter for the pcv line.

In the future going 2018 mani and deleting imrcs. Couldn't find much about this anywhere.

Thanks!

Yep run open, I put a catch can on and ran both valve cover lines to it. Didn't catch much until I was over probably 14psi.

Cool. So just to be clear you just let that vacuum hose disconnected to atmosphere? I'm planning on doing the catch can that beefcake has for the paxton kits soon. Just haven't ordered it yet

I can't tell which line you are showing. If it is the line that goes to the intake pipe between the air filter and the blower that should not be a vacuum line.

Sorry. Heres another pic maybe that will help? It's the line that runs from the intake pipe then Ts with the imrc line and that odd check valve above the throttle body.

If it t's into the IMRC line then I'd cap it there and just remove it. I thought on mine (2020) the line that was supposed to go to the intake came from the driver's side valve cover.

Yeah I have two that run into it. One from the driver side valve cover and the other from that T with the imrc. I just don't know what it really does. Like just a reference for something? I didnt think that it would see much besides a vacuum since it's before Tyr blower.

Yeah I might have had that too, sorry to confuse you. I know I did put caps on some of the stuff on the front as I started with the filter on the blower.
