FYI: Orders are processed in batches.

I ordered in May and my order was processed in June. We have SSC ordering in July and processed in August, etc. etc. and its the same for many people. The orders are one month ahead.

This is how car manufacturing works, its all batch processing.

You wont get that until you get a VIN. I've only just gotten mine. Looks to be January for me.

I ordered 4th july, seems they never processed my order until august and have had nada information about a build date.

Think yourself lucky - I ordered mid-APRIL and the order wasn't placed until the end of August!!!

I firmly believe that it was only because I chased the dealer that it got ordered then.

Had a little chuckle to myself when reading a few people's posts about ordering middle of this year and not having any information yet.....all I can say is, count yourselves lucky you were not UCL winners AND/OR early deposit payers, some of them have been waiting well over a year for their cars.

Also had a little chuckle to myself reading that the down under boys will be getting their cars before mine....think these chuckles are a sign of madness

I must be backwards, I haven't got a VIN, or a window sticker, yet i've got a build date. That being said, I haven't asked for a VIN or Window Sticker, nor do I care. I'll trust Karens word that it will be built early Jan.

If your delivery date exists officially on their system, then a VIN exists and you can ask your dealer for it.

Ian from the forum looking for it for me at the moment . I'd asked my dealership last week but my dealer was out and got a 'small car sales specialist', who 'doesnt know much about mustangs' (his words) which wasn't any help.

I've got a VIN, NSC No (?), dealer priority 99 (?).

Happy with this, if it were to pan out. Seems to tie into Benanderson89's build, delivery etc.

Im tempted to walk to my dealers, he's about 10min walk from my office (Which makes picking the car up easy), But i've been told Jan build, March delivery. the 23rd april is based on just 12 weeks post 18th jan. (That's 12 weeks delivery and then a weeks prep)

Week prep? Dealer should be able to turn it round in 24 hours, mine did (once the bumper was fixed)

I agree, however, some dealerships maybe taking multiple cars in, 'in batches' and also they will want to fan out the delivery/pickup days, the prep they class as a 'week' to mitigate schedules (Ie; if it arrives on a monday and you work 2hours away from your dealership and live an hour away you'll want to pick it up saturday or sunday) The whole clean, wax, polish, valet thing shouldn't take over a day, nope. (they also have the paper work to do)

I ordered 15th April 2015 and I am #116 on the 2016 waiting list and was told to expect January production and April delivery - have chased Karen from Ford for an update today and build date...

This all seems to be realistic and would be surprised if anyone ordering after April would get their car sooner but is there really an order?????

I ordered 7th May. Was given a build date of 12th November which came and went with nothing happening (i think it was just a made up date).

I have now asked Karen to find out the truth for me. I assume (hope) it will be a January build, and delivery around the same time as yours, but am still waiting to hear. The dealers have been trying to find out what is going on since mid November but dont seem to get anywhere! At least that doesnt make them any worse than every one else's dealers
