Sorry, but mine been delayed from October, they can't of had a shortage of lids for 2 months.
And I know cars that had a build date after my original date have been built,
Send him the email anyway - there are reports of canx orders out there so it may be that Andy will do a rabbit out of hat and find one with your spec and be able to route it to you.
TBH - he has been pretty good with us so far and he is brave enough to be on a forum of this type so I would give him the opportunity - I can't imagine how frustrating it is for you - it has been bad enough just waiting - but I think I would explore all possibilities before hitting the cancel button and if the top man can't fix it then by all means walk away but at least give him a chance to salvage the situation for you. :clap2:

I spoke to her today. Maybe she just missed your email?
If it were but one! I think she may have setup a filtering rule for my emails ;) Following my post Andy has kindly offered assistance. So just waiting for an update. Despite the frustrations of the order process, his direct intervention should be applauded

send me your details and I will investigate

we have been managing a shortage of glove box lids (as they have the airbag contained within them)

but let me have your details please
Andy,
Is there any way you could post the occasional update when there is an issue that is likely to affect a number of us. We are all reasonable(honest) and can accept that there will be issues. Our (your) dealers generally have no clue but clearly you guys do. I've just been told, in the only unpromted dealer communication in 8 months, that mine has a build date of March 2016 which will be 12 months from order, missing the original 12 months to delivery by some margin. The dealer doesn't know why and doesn't seem to want to find out (he thinks there may have been a V8 issue but doesn't know what; we all know more than that)

I haven't pestered you guys because there are plenty more in a worse boat (or not in a boat) than me but would be nice to know that every effort is being made to get orders built reasonably in order and fairly dealt with. I'm not looking for Ford to air it's dirty washing; just communicate. So, are V8's behind compared to EB's, will they catch up, is there an issue with convertibles, how long and when does Flat Rock shut down for Christmas, are RHD cars being built continuously or in batches, do you have any influence over Flat Rock or not, and so on.

We will all be happier and you might reduce yours and Karen's in box substantially.

Thanks.

Completely agree with you Slowhand.

By way of example, I'm sure many of us have experienced the frustration of being on a plane, waiting to take off and have just sat there.

It's a frustrating experience, but one that is greatly relieved when you get some sort of an update to explain what's going on...

If they announce that there's a short delay whilst a bag is unloaded because of a passenger no-show - it's annoying, but at least you know what's going on.

If they announce that there is a technical fault in one of the engines - OK, again it's irritating, but I'd be far happier knowing that it had been identified and something was being done to rectify it than take off an just hope for the best :)

If they announce that there will be a 10 minute delay - which turns into an hour (with no subsequent announcement), that's unacceptable and you're left wondering why (the second example perhaps?).

If there is no announcement at all. The passengers quickly start to consider storming the cabin!

People in the main are reasonable creatures. There is (in my humble opinion) absolutely nothing to be gained from keeping them in the dark and just pretending that all will be well. Accurate news, even if it's not good is far more welcomed than no news at all.

On that note, Karen has kindly contacted me - though I am still none the wise in terms of build/delivery date

Great Idea

we will try and post very regular updates
Thanks Andy,

After I read your post I thought I should join this forum that I have been reading for the last year.

This isn't an orderly queue. It's tempting to think that because some people have got their cars already that I and the rest have made a mistake in their orders or done something bad in a previous life. Anything that clarifies what is going on will be very welcome.

Greg

I'm handing my notice of resignation in to this thread now.
Officially a member of the no longer pissed group.
I wish you guys well & it is worth the wait (which wasn't ever really the issue, it was lack of communication)

Latest ETA is now 01.02.16!! It's booked on the Galveston Highway which now leaves Baltimore on the 10th Dec (originally the 8th) and it arrives bang on Christmas Eve in Zeebrugge so you know nothing will be done during the holidays......

Sure hope it makes it onto that boat. At least when it leaves the US you'll have as close to a concrete EDD as its possible to get.

Is it wishful thinking to hope my car arrives middle of March? My insurance renewal is on the 28th :D

Well my dealer receipt date is 24/3 and my build is scheduled for the same time as yours...

...and if you believe that... ;)

How inconsistent are these dates....I ordered in July 2015 and I have a build date of Jan 3rd 2016....

I assume that's a GT.

Messages i've seen elsewhere there's multiple reasons for 'delayed' and 'different' builds:

Ecoboosts >ARE< building quicker than GTs
Fastbacks quicker than Vertes
GT's with Racing stripes are slower than without (Considerably slower, first time fords offered this in 'mass' for a car)
GT's with Black roof are also slower than without
Each 'additional extra' also makes the build slower to my knowledge as they can be understocked on Rear Parking sensors, Shaker pro systems, Chrome trim etc.

In short you can't take what someone elses build date is, as the same as yours, if you look at my signature, you'll see I ordered in august, build date was nov, now it's early Jan, and arrival 'march'. But I'm an EB, Fastback, with the Nav + Shaker pro pack only. More mods, longer wait (Annoying i know)

Mine is a GT with stripes and Custom pack.

Though cant complain I was quoted 12 months - so If it arrives early id be happy.
