How are you guys finding out what ship your car is on and when it's in transit?

EDIT: Don't say 'Ask your dealer'. Just don't.

I got an email from Ford this week :eyebulge:with a pdf giving me the vessel name and the website for wessel finder (Chekov from Star Trek pronunciation coz it's a Friday:))

Apparently my EB is on the Ivory Arrow which is currently holed up on the East Coast USA at the moment. The letter did still state a December delivery date but pinch of salt time like everyone else.

Yeah I have Exit US Docks on 19th Oct, Vessel Booked is Eurasian Highway. Thats due to leave Baltimore on 21st, tried tracking it on vesselfinder.com and it currently says its ETA is 5th Oct to Zeebrugge!!! oh god more inaccurate info.

Big_G How did you find out what Vessel it was booked on to mate?

Yeah, hasn't checked in since 13th though.

http://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais...604938/mmsi:432839000/vessel:EURASIAN HIGHWAY

Ford have officially drive me to insanity, at the point where i'm interested in marine shipping reports and vessel locations.
So true

My exit docks is the 20th, so we must all be on the Eurasian Highway I would have thought.Tried tracking it but it hasn't moved on that map since the 13th!

I went to see my dealer yesterday, he had got a letter in from Ford on the 1st October with a build schedule table on it that shows what quarter your car will be built, depending on what engine you ordered and when your order was placed. For when my order was placed the V8 (what I ordered) would be built in Q2 2016 but if I had ordered the ecoboost it would be built in Q4 2015!! I tried to get a copy of it but he said it is confidential and for Ford dealers only.

Just been told from my dealer that my car is due to commence build mid December (V8) with an expected delivery in March. Ordered mine in May.

He did seem to suggest (based on delivery dates he seen) that the ecoboosts were being built first followed by the GTs.

OK. Hope this works - never posted an attachment !
Very nicely written. The only thing I'm not sure about is Moray Callum's involvement in the design. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't S550 J Mays' swansong?

"The single biggest problem with COMMUNICATION is the ILLUSION that it has taken place.", so said George Bernard Shaw. Ford should get everyone "on the same page" and give out some definitive and accurate information. This mealymouthed, *****-footing, everyone speaking, but no one standing by their statements, Is pure unadulterated BS of the lowest corporate order. Corporate-Speak shame on you Ford.

Embarrassingly not a UCL winner - sorry if I have taken someone's space on the boat - Ford obviously just doing a random loading. Of course, it may not actually be on the boat at all - I am just going by what Ford have told me but we all know how accurate that has been so far

Not true about the EBs before the GTs mate as GTs were built on the first day of RHD production so dealer misinformed again or just guessing.

There does seem to have been a trend for EBs being built in greater numbers however. I still have this feeling that there may be some problem with the GTs that's slowing production and necessitating more "upfitting" once they come off the line.

The "table" of build quarters is interesting however. Something else we've picked up on.

Hopefully it is on a boat - could be first in Scotland, though there are obviously purchasers who are not on this forum. Kinda hoping there's a demo car on the boat for Peoples too, although I don't know why cos they'll not tell me

Maybe just based on orders he is seeing. He just happened to mention the first deliveries he's seeing are ecoboosts.

And even when Ford attempts a coordinated communication, the fabled letter supposed to arrive this week, the dealers don't follow through. Over on Pistonheads someone has published the margins for Ford Stores on Mustangs which explains why we are not a priority for them; I imagine they make more per base Fiesta.

So........... assuming Mr Barratt is still watching, who hasn't received the letter.

Me, for one.

Hey guys just wanted to say that I will be leaving this forum for a while. My car is looking like it won't be delivered till next June at the earliest, so my checking of this forum several times a day, every day till then will drive me insane, especially when members here start receiving their vehicles. I will be back on when my Mustang is nearly delivered, so see you guys then and enjoy your Mustangs when they arrive. :D
