Actually have an update! After my phone call, I kind of figured he must have something on my order so I phoned him back. Actually gave me some good info which I didn't know beforehand...

This is what I got;
- although I sent my "waiting list" form on 25/02/2015. Ford didn't acknowledge it for a few days "early March" no biggie as it's only a few days
- My order was officially entered on to the Ford system on 27/05/2015. Apparently the date when they did all of the production planning. Haven't checked but I vaguely recall that others have this same date. This could be the "lock down" I guess, I got a call very early on (March I think) asking to confirm my order details, although at the time they said the lock down was still to happen, I never got a call back so maybe that was mine.
- My order number is L0087 which is cool because that's my birth year :) He did say though that this doesnt necessarily relate to you place in the queue, he originally said that the "L" is linked to the Hartwell group but then sort of corrected himself & mentioned that he believes it's to do with the Mustang orders (I believe the latter is true). Also said that I am the 85th person to order the Mustang - could be true if going from the 20/01/2015 price release date?
- I do not have a VIN yet
- I think he guessed at a late September build date but can't remember his exact words.
- My car is allocated to build plant U5 in the factory (random fact - might be useless).
- Another random fact; dealers were not allowed to order any cars & stockpile them to sell. Interesting because I think they have done this elsewhere in the EU

So there you have it, after an exhausting week of emails, phone calls & a barrage of tweets I finally got info from a simple call to my dealer. No build date like I was hoping but it's more that I have had to date. Sooooo anyone with an order number lower than me have a build date yet?!
Mate from what you are saying your car will be a September build for sure, based on your order number and when you ordered. If ford hadn't decided that people needed to test drive what they ordered your car would be further up the list. Each dealer is getting a demo and dealership vehicle which got built this month. I am ringing the lady on Monday who originally ordered your vehicle and I will ask her if she can find out a build date. My car is due for build on 25th and still doesn't have a vin number. It's been weird how they have done the whole ordering process. Six of mine all ordered in jan were being built 24/25 August.

Still don't quite get the order numbers yet. As I walked into dealership and ordered beginning of May, wasn't on any waiting list or UCL 'winner' however was told my car would definitely be in first batch being built this year.

I called today out of curiosity and was told I would not see my car until mid 2016 and it was more or less confirmed by Ford. However he still couldnt give me an order number or dealer code as it was (not the branch practice):frusty:

If the order number was a place in Iine as such, then surely the first 1200 batch would be built 2015 and not into next year.

Don't quote me on it but from reading on here, you've missed the first batch. That dealer either didn't know (as most don't) or was mistaken when guaranteeing a 2015 delivery.

I don't know how many cars are due to be delivered before Xmas but I would've put money on an order placed in May not being one of them.

As for the order number, it was a good few months before I managed to get that out of my dealer, and that was only after I made it quite clear that I was getting a bit pissed off with the total lack of information.

Quite possibly^. I think some people that have ordered convertibles have been told they may have to wait slightly longer for that reason, well, not colour but the fact that they won't be lumping convertibles in with fastbacks.

Your right as I know I won't see my car before Xmas, part of me is actually happier to get it after winter ;)

I did have confirmation that the car was ordered pre end of May lock down. But no idea what if that changes the situation or order:shrug:
But in terms in first batch builds would be interesting to find out how many RHD cars are being manufactured in 2015 for the UK.

Having been to a 'preview' today at the dealership from which I ordered, they were helpful enough to bring my order up on their system, but it had basically zero details. I was however told to expect delivery towards the end of the year along with most orders for the UK as Ford would probably send them all at once. Either way it looked likely I would have mine this year (even though I ordered early April and was told at the time 'a little over 12 months). I overheard people enquiring about if they were to order now and they were being told Q1 of next year). Either production is moving quicker than initially expected or the dealership are making a number of misinformed assumptions and as they seem to be given very little detail, I could forgive them for this.

Impressed with what I saw anyway.

I ordered 22/2. At the earliest, given the lack of information coming from my dealer, I'd say I could expect a September build. 12 week delivery from gate release and it's the best Christmas present ever.
HOWEVER, I'd sooner wait til late January/February for delivery over late December.
For the sake of my stress levels I've tried to stop thinking about dates...

well well well, it would seem my hard work has paid off! I got a reply from Flat Rock Assembly Plant themselves! Good to see they are building them at a good rate. Hopefully information will start to flow now!

"Hi Kristian –
We are excited to be able to bring the RHD Mustang to the UK! Thank you for your support. We started building these last week. Currently we are building between 20-35 each day. As of now, it is hard to track orders. We have had several requests, but because the launch began last week, most of the cars we receive requests for do not have a scheduled build date yet. The best place to receive information would be through your dealership. I apologize that your dealer has not been able to provide you with more information. I have been told that a car takes between 6-8 weeks to build – from order, or in this case, from its place on the order list. However I’m not sure how long shipping will take to the UK. My suggestion would be to send your VIN number to me and let’s find out if your vehicle has a scheduled build date. If not, I can flag the email and check periodically. Usually your dealership will receive information as it becomes available, but I’m happy to look into it for you as well."
Mate your car order was 533 in the list, it is in for October production that is why no build date yet. Ford building all the Dealer vehicles and demo"s that pushed it down the list.

Thanks mate, really appreciate that! Little disappointed obviously because I had hopes for a mid November delivery...this side of Christmas is looking doubtful then I guess, my birthday is a month after though so could work out quite well :) win win for me though - the later it is the more time I have to get that all important deposit down! Let's hope we have a "good" winter! Although saying that, I think we are due a bad one  been a few years since I have seen significant ice/snow...

Depends on when it is due for build in November if late then it will be January delivery. Can speed it up when it hits Southampton but could take 8 weeks to get there from gate release if not longer. So could be January before you see your car. Mine still doesn't have a chassis number and it's now a week till build. This whole process has been crazy and hope not the same with the RS. Now a year wait for a build from point of order which is crazy. Fingers crossed you can enjoy your car in 2015

In Europe, based on the time it has taken for our deliveries, ou calculations from the day a car leaves the factory until the day you collect it seems to be between 9-16 Weeks.

Based on a delivery to Germany
1-2 Weeks Rail to Baltimore (Mine took 9 days)
2-5 Weeks in Baltimore Port
2 Weeks crossing the Atlantic
2-4 Weeks in Bremerhaven getting ready (mine took actually only 1 day (!) but it's a "special case". Arr 4/8, at dealer 5/8)
1 Week delivery
1-2 Week at dealer (I say 2 weeks as our papers sometimes takes longer than the usual week).

= 9-16 Weeks.

If the rumour is true that the UK bound cars will offload in Zeebrugge and then ship to UK, I would say, add at least 2 weeks.

9-11 UK lead time. They are going there then Southampton. It's all about your car not getting stuck on the keyside at Southampton

I ordered 24/01/2015, but have a later order number. I'm guessing the dealers didn't do anything until May 2015? Given a mid September build, so probably a December delivery. Trying to find positives, I'm telling myself that it'll give the factory slightly longer to 'get their eye in'. It's going to be difficult seeing the shiney new cars posted on this forum whilst mine is sitting in the docks somewhere.
