What is the min oil temp at which we can pour the coal to it as to speak? I have a 2015 GT and the oil temp gage says low on it until it reaches the normal temp at which time the game reads normal . I generally use that as a guide but not so sure for the 350. I have read somewhere to wait until 200 degrees but I have hardly seen it past 185.

You won't generally see 190 in cooler weather unless you just give up on waiting and start leaning on it pretty hard. Even then in cold weather it may not get up to 190 and then it will fall back as soon as you back off.

Another topic guys are waaaayyyy over stressing. Below 190, rpm is limited to 8k even (I think). Just. Drive. The. Damn. Car! Sure, don't wail on it at barely 100*, but if it's warmed up to as warm as it's gonna get....Just. Drive. The. Damn. Car.

FYI, my '20 will get up to 205 degrees when it's 50-60 degrees out. I believe Ford modified the grill opening along the way to reduce air flow and cut down on drag somewhat. This would explain the slightly higher operating temps.

Couldn't agree more about stressing. Ford enables Launch Control once the oil reaches the minimum temperature for use of full power and RPM. If you want to know if it's OK to hammer it, just flip the LC switch and see if the dash light comes on - if not, you're still too cold. If it does, your engine is warm enough. I remember the tip-over point as 180 but some folks have said it's 170. Check yours and see.

I normally wait until the cylinder head temperature hits 195, by then the oil is about 165. It's more important for the engine block to normalize and that is a good reference. After 4 years of daily driving I have zero issues.
