Actually, you're kinda right lol. 8 autocross events, a few shows, spirited pulls, and just got back from a little road trip. I'll check it before my first track day next month.Too busy having fun I imagine.![]()
This was picture was taken after it got above 240. Didn't get a picture of the highest temp I saw. The inlet temp is not too high as the drive was all clear road, no traffic. My post above yours gives specifics.
My times around the autocross course we're decreasing slightly and the car's power felt consistent during the event. Didn't seem to pull power with oil temps in the low 200's vs. mid 240's. Not saying it's not happening just that I didn't feel it.
What was your air inlet temp when you felt power drop? Obviously the hotter the air the less dense it is so typically means less power.
Also keep in mind that the factory settings won't even allow your rpm to go to redline unless the oil temp is a minimum of 190. I believe this engine is expected to run hotter than your typical driver.
its GLOBAL WARMING MAN! LOL its hot ass heck and normal for this engine.Have a 2016 tech pac with 1600 miles. Driving 70-80 on the freeway in 4th and 5th oil temp is routinely 250, ambient temp is high 90s/ 100. Is that normal?
