What are you guys getting for oil pressure on idle and 2,000 RPM? I JUST got my girl back today, after a total of 70 days in the shop (long story) and I noticed oil pressure is higher than normal. I'm idling at 30PSI and easily hitting 100PSI at 2,500RPM's. She got her oil changed a few days ago while in for repairs. Ford states you should be at 10-15PSI at idle and 30-40PSI at 2K RPM.

I like to disassemble things.
Curious - where did you see Ford "state" those pressure/rpm numbers? They sound rather low to me for the '20 GT500 engine.

I agree. Just happens I was looking at that gauge today at a light and mine was at about 30 idle.

Not a GT500 here but I did add the 2020 GT500 oil pan kit which comes with the high volume oil pump. I did add a billet opg but that shouldn’t make much of a difference to what pressure the GT500 normally gets. My pressures, as expected, are relatively higher than the stock setup for the 5.0. I had to add the center gauges you guys have just so I could see my higher pressures again as the stock 100 psi was maxed out and left me wondering where I was at. Cold start psi for me is right around 115 and full temp idle is at 30 like you state. If I rev to 1850 or above, I’m slightly higher than 100. Max pressure on heavy throttle resulted in a 125 reading.

Here’s a pic of my cold start reading.

Any 15 and up 5.0 can add it if they wanted.

Little bit of a picture illusion but the oil pump housings are basically the same size. I was just trying to get a difference between intake ports. The GT500 opg is slightly thicker is all and the housing has minor differences.

Great.
The biggest advantage is metal pan and of course the inner components to limit oil starvation for High G turns.
Have you noticed lower oil temps?

Hi buddy! Glad to see you are still working on your car. This oil pan will definitely help for when you are tracking.

Some really big differences between the GT and GT500, thats for sure. Even the pick up tube is noticeably larger.

PS, we got to get the group back together.

Cold start I am getting 110-125psi. Once the car warms up I am getting 30psi at idle and about 70psi a 2k rpm.

Jaime! Just doing my part to add a little functional flare from your model. You’ve left us all in the settled dust with your new project and I’m following all updates. The group is still alive.
I did add the Steeda road racing K member as well while adding the pan; couldn’t see putting the stock one back in place.

The oil pan and components are going to be perfect for track as anyone can tell along with the extra 3.5 qts of oil gained (for 15-17 5.0 models). The pickup tube is much larger as is the intake as can be seen by the pics. The pan has four trap doors that prevent oil surge under high lateral g’s and braking. Oil starvation will never happen with these components so feel warm and fuzzy no matter what you throw at it driving wise if you already have this setup or go to it for those of us that don’t/didn’t have it.

Do you have a GT350 or GT350R? I just installed the Steeda RR K member on my 2020 CFTP GT500!!! Steeda said it would fit, BUT I had to MODIFY it for the EXTRA coolers and belly pan!!!

Nope, just your standard 5.0 PP model although I’m highly modified. I’d love to see some pics of that on your car. You had to modify the k-member or the belly pan/cooler mounts? I had to slightly modify the belly pan on mine as well but that was expected.

I haven't got to the belly pan yet; I had to modify (extend) the front rails about 6" for the extra coolers on the CFTP GT500!!!

Wow, I didn't know they had a K member out. Looks very nice. Did you weight the difference between it, and the stock setup?

@Tomster may be interested in the weight savings.
