Oil pressure / temp readouts

Does the UK spec car have the above?

I know for the US only the PP has pressure - we get the PP as standard, but is it the same?

I've also heard that the oil temp gauge isn't a real one, but is calculated from other sensors - is this the same for the UK car?

We don't get pressure IIRC without going out and checking. Bit silly really since it's low pressure that will do damage rather than low temp and if the engine's warm then it follows the oil will be too.

As for where the temp comes from I don't know but see no reason that they would give us something extra over the LHD cars where as you say, it's calculated from other readings.

We don't get the 3(?) extra gauges that the US Premium get, but you can display all kinds of parameters in the small screen betwee the speedo & rev counter. You neeed to play around in the menu's, and you can't save a "default" display setting though...

Seems an odd thing to do. My ST has both and I assume they're from actual sensors.

We dont get the extra gauges but the MFD can display it all (one at a time though) if you need it

It has them, but not in the centre stack as actual gauges, they're individual gauges along with boost for the EB within the dash board between the rev and MPH dials and you have to select them, rather than other things.

I'd spoken to Pierre of the product team (or something like that) about why there weren't the physical gauges in the centre stack (Instead of the 3rd vent), he'd told me that they hadn't put the gauges in because 'The metrics weren't right' (I assume this is because the metrics for Europe are different for the UK as i believe the UK metrics are the same as the US ones?)

Yes but you just get low, normal or high. It should never read low however unless engine is off. As long as is reporting normal your all good.

Exactly. You can switch between a text readout or a digital dial for oil temp, but not for pressure, which is the important one. How hard would that have been for Ford to implement?

If you had to have ONE and ONLY one dial for an engine parameter in your car, which one would you choose? I mean cylinder head temp FFS?!
