Quick question about the oil pressure gauge in '17 GT PP. What should the correct oil pressure be, and how much should it vary? I've noticed that it tends to be super high, 90 psi, when I first start the car. After about 5 minutes, it's holding steady at 80 psi under light throttle, and drops to about 30 psi as soon as I push in the clutch. It will generally settle in around 50-60 psi after 10 or 15 minutes of highway speed.

Is that normal? It seems like such a large swing for the first few minutes/miles.

Sounds perfectly normal.

As the oil gets warm it flows easier, thus the lower oil pressure.

And the pressure goes up when the room goes up.

Mine acts the same way. As oil warms up, it gets thinner and flows easier, so pressure drops. Totally normal, and it's a good reminder to not mash the go pedal to the floor before everything is warmed up.

That's what I waa thinking, just wanted to make sure. I usually take it easy until everything is warmed up. Just curious as to the extremes.

Thanks for the confirmation.
