I have a Premium GT and I want to add a oil pressure gauge. Not looking for a true mechanical gauge, I'm going with an electronic one. Will I have to install a "T" and an additional sending unit (if my car has a factory one that is)? Or, assuming there is an electronic gauge sending unity already in place, can I just attach the wires from the new gauge to the existing wires?

Thanks

You can piggy back into the stock oil psi wiring pigtail and hook up there. You can buy pig tails from the dealer. Just tell them your vin number and you need a oil psi sending unit pig tail.

Thanks for the reply. Just to confirm, your referring to the wire connection at the factory sending unit above the oil cooler/filter? I will contact my friend who is my go to guy about the pigtail. Thank you this is very good information

Yes. But are you wanting to add the oem oil psi gauge? Or aftermarket?

Aftermarket. It comes with its own sending unit but I wonder if I can just tap into factory sending unit assuming there is a factory one on my car?

Yep with a tee.
I mean tapping into the wiring of the factory sending unit as opposed to adding a tee and running another sending unit.

Yes sir you can do that to. Or you can find the oil psi wires in the wiring harness and tap into those. They should also be inside the dash wiring. Doesn't the GT have a oem oil psi gauge?

No oil pressure gauge, just a "low/normal/high" readout in the center cluster. I haven't looked but I believe there is a sending unit and I was hoping to tap into the factory wires coming from it.

I am running a boost gauge at the same time and I have already planned where to exit the passenger compartment so bringing the signal wires from he gauge to the factory sending unit will not be an issue.
