Passengers side catch cans are a must on these cars. Even if you don't drive your car hard. I don't get to drive my car very often and sometimes it goes weeks without going above 5k RPM and and it still catches a concerning amount of oil.

I really like that UPR drivers side.

I too like the way it looks overall. But did not see how you could empty/check it!

Whats the reason the car system is design like this? Why doesnt it get an oil seperator from new? Whats the reason?

Because not many owner would remember emptying it out and having oil fumes go into the intake and burned by the engine is not really that big of a deal.

Now, why would I need a driver side one? I thought it was tested that the driver side doesn't get any oil.

I have a Bob's Ultimate catch can on the passenger side and it works great, but for those pushing their cars, a passenger side catch can will do absolutely nothing from stopping oil from passing into your air intake tube.

After a 30 min track session, I had a small puddle of oil accumulation in the bottom of my JLT intake box (completely soaked through the filter). Most will likely not need the driver side oil separator, but the thought that the driver side doesn't get any oil under extreme conditions is complete crap.

I thought that the oil would get sucked into the manifold (due to high vacuum) instead of going the opposite way, this is an eye opener.

Agree, both sides are a must if you track the car or drive hard on the street. I run the dual Bob's setup and it's working flawlessly.

We're actually going through the CARB process now to get our cans passed.

The process takes forever as CARB has limited man power, but I expect all of our kits to be passed within the next 6 months.

Not only that, but it's a cost issue. Ford is trying to push the greatest numberr of features and the most performance at a certain price point. All these things that we, as enthusiasts want, would only add cost to the thousands of these that they sell to non-enthusiasts.
