Factory fill is 5w-20
I've had one other person confirm this.
Get that shit out of there
If you are tuned you will want a 40 weight oil.
Im kicking myself fot waiting 1k miles for the change
Do NOT work under your car with just a jack. You need stands as well. Stands won't randomly fail like a jack can.Well I just bent steel ramps on my gravel driveway, then went to the in laws and broke those Harbor Freight plastic ramps on asphalt. I'm just going to use my low profile jack next time anyone know the best jacking point up front?

Don't worry I never do that, I just didn't finish typing all my thoughts out haha.Do NOT work under your car with just a jack. You need stands as well. Stands won't randomly fail like a jack can.
Mobil 1 is decent but the issue it runs into on direct injected motors is it cannot stand up to fuel dilution like T6 can. Coming from the mazdaspeeds a lot of guys that ran Mobil 1 complained about the oil smelling like fuel when you drain it. When oil cannot handle fuel dilution it changes the sheer point of the oil and will reduce your wear protection that it should provide especially at higher temps.Interesting. I just did my first oil change with Mobil 1 full synthetic 5w-30. Next time around I may go with Rotella. I'm tuned with a few bolt ons but I don't drive the car too hard.
I think the argument is that even thought it wasn't certified for the spec (since it's for diesel as you are saying) it still meets or exceeds the requirements for the spec and has other benefits. The issue I see with this discussion is that the recommended Motorcraft oil (5W-30) is a GF-5 oil. Amazon sells it for 12.60 a quart! Ouch.
Anyway, Mobil 1 5W-30 is GF-5 certified but Shell T6 5W-40 is NOT (this is for diesel engines). I know that some are saying they have used it with good results on other cars but putting a non-GF-5 oil in the Ecoboost when Ford specifically recommends it seems like a lot bigger issue than what oil filter one chooses. Just say'n. Be careful!
Nothing but GF-5 oil for gasoline engines will be going in my car.

This. If the Ford engineers didn't think that 5w30 would not have been good for use in this motor they wouldn't have suggested it. Now, maybe the Rotella oil may be good for a majority of the modified Mustangs here, or cars that see a drag strip or road course frequently, but for a mildly modded EBM that's just street driven should be fine with the standard 5w30 for whatever brand you choose to run.
That being said, I plan to only use Mobil 1 5w30 and Motorcraft filter in my car. Should be fine for the next 3 or 4 years I'll own the car.

I think that's an important distinction. Obviously there are several different perspectives on this topic. Mine is daily driven so Mobil 1 should be just fine but it's good to know some of the info shared in this thread.
