I'd do it now, if you are on factory fill you are just hurting your engine.
No i switched to Mobil 1 at 500 miles back in April (i think). Only have about 2800 miles now.

Change oil in 35minutes. Rotella 5w/40 Wix filter. And installed UPR plug and play CC. Total install and oil change, under an hour.

Adam, thanks for the recommendation on Rotella and the Wix filter.

T6 has been proven to be a strong oil for the price. It out performed many "performance" style oils like Redline, Amsoil, and Royal Purple by http://www.blackstone-labs.com/. It has a ton of anti-wear properties because it is intended for diesel engines. The fact that is is labeled for Diesel engines doesn't mean it can't be ran in your ordinary gas engine. The weight is still 5w-40 no tricks or anything for disel.

I run T6 5,000 to 7,000 miles without any problems on my performance engines. On my daily driver Tiguan 2.0TSi I run it for 10,000 miles.

T6 only comes in one flavor.
Before I decided to go with the Mustang, I was also looking at the Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T, a 2L twin-scroll turbocharged engine, so very similar to the EB engine, but with a longer track record. Many of the more respected posters on the Gen Coupe forum swore by T6 based on UOAs and engine teardowns. They were split between Wix and the OEM filter, but the Hyundai OEM filter is made by Wix anyway, I believe.

Isn't the factory fill a 5W30 synthetic blend? Even if it's not full synthetic, how can it actually be harming the engine? Have you seen evidence of this, either from an engine teardown, or UOAs? I could believe that would be true for a heavily modified engine or if the car sees a lot of track time, but it's hard for me to believe for a zero to lightly modified engine, even one that gets driven "enthusiastically" occasionally.

Thanks.

Factory fill is 5w-20

I've had one other person confirm this.

Get that shit out of there

If you are tuned you will want a 40 weight oil.

Walmart had 2.5 gallon jugs of the Rotella T6 5W-40. I just grabbed 2 of them. That'll get me through 3 oil changes. That WIX filter is hard to find though. The first place I went to was out of business and the second place can order them. I might be better off looking for a place to mail order them and buy like 4 of them.

Scratch that, after going to a second place that was on WIX's "where to buy" list that was out of business, I did some more Internet research and found Napa Auto Parts has them (not on WIX's list). Called and they have 38 of the Part# 51348 in stock.

Yea unfortunately cores aren't due in until next week and we will be working non stop to pump out 20 intercoolers asap! If you need plugs as well, they are on our site. www.maperformance.com search "NGK 6510".

hey i understand but im pretty desperate here, and it kills me further that I cant get the stuff you have in stock first cause ryan told me it would be cost prohibitive. Do you have maybe like an exact day youll have them? order was placed on the 24th

Also, i bought the accessport through you guys, im interested in the economy tune (my buddy has it). he has a slew of bolt ons and last week we got an amazing 34mpg on a 2 hour trip!!!
Also do you have a better tune for stock than the one that comes with the cobb for 93oct? I can feel the bump but Im certain it can be better. Also when i get the intake, intercooler and pipes, do you have a tune for that?

And thanks but I found the plugs locally. theyre going in tomorow with my rotella oil/wix change:)

also does your catted downpipe use ceramic or metal substrate? Im deadly afraid of the complete exhaust system, I cant have another loud 4 cylinder in my life, Id really like a almost stock sounding 3 inch exhaust. Ive gone so far as to consider getting the downpipe and the midpipe but leaving the stock mufflers:frusty:

Agreed with MAP I have always ran Rotella T6 in everyone of my turbo builds, have had nothing but great things to say about it.
