First time doing an oil change on my EB... I have a question about the drain plug... Is this it?

I'm pretty sure, but I don't want to accidentally see pink fluid, and drain transmission fluid :p

Yes thats the drain plug, takes a 15mm socket or wrench.

Yes, it has a rubber o-ring built into the drain plug.

Np.

Ya I deal with this crap all day, thats how drain plugs/oil pans get messed up, get the plug snug by hand then add ¼ turn with a wrench.

If you are using more than one hand on the wrench and you are bracing your body with one leg, its going to be too tight. Just because some drain plugs have a huge hex head, does not mean it needs 200 ft-lbs to seal.

If you are a greenhorn at this, first time you might want to torque it to factory spec so you get a feel what is needed.

I tighten it to 20 ft/lbs. It's basically hand tight plus a little more.

I will be trying to install Fumoto F-107N Engine Oil Drain Valve but it seems I need the adapter ADP-107 Fumoto® Adapter on my ecoboost. I just tried to install the shutoff without the adapter but it wouldn't fit. You will need the adapter.
