Has anyone had to modify the lower rear suspension units on a 2018 or later S550 for the Ohlins lower rear spring mounts to fit flush over spring pockets? Can this be done without removing the arms completely from the car? The earlier 2015-2017 versions do not need this

Hi OP,

Mine is an August 2017 car (pre-facelift) and required the RLCAs to have a bit of grinding work to get the spring perches to seat correctly. The holes are nowhere near round standard, I believe the only ones which are a direct fit have been 2015 and maybe some 2016 cars. It can be done on the car, just take your time with it👍

I would do a few things differently on that Steeda spring adapter. But I haven't eyeballed the upper and lower "holes" to see what I'm up against. The 1/2" drive is a neat solution though.

I have wondered the same thing. But the additional cost is $600 plus. However in the long run would it matter?
