So they provide everything needed for Premium installs? Is there decent instructions? I really want this thing in my Premium. The last thing holding me up is the lack on PreAmp outputs for my interior amp and subwoofer amp. I will still need to bypass the stock amp and that seems a bit complicated.

How did you get it to work in a Premium? Did you have someone install it for you? I am really curious. I sold my Tesla because I couldn't get it working, but I really want it. There needs to be a quick write up how to get it working in Premium cars. It can't be that hard. I had the extra Premium cables, but still no audio or backup camera. Please, spill the beans.

I am in LA. They posted on Facebook to recruit local car owners to help them test install; in return, we get the units at very low price. They asked for a S550 premium Mustang, plus another Altima owner who got a Tesla unit from them also referred me to them, so I went for it.

They had to modify the harness that came with the unit, and they said that the factory would redo the harness so that it will be plug and play in the future. Not sure if they would make instructions though.

IIRC, the harness they used is different from the ones I saw here, so I believe it should be from a different factory. The backup cam and SWC work without the harness being modified. They just had to modify the harness to get sound to work.

Do you mean you have aftermarket amps in your car? I don't know how that works.
As to stock amp, I believe it's just plug and play with their new harness. I don't recall they did anything to stock wiring.

Then it wouldn't be a Tesla style unit. The long screen is the whole point. There is already a 10.2 horizontal android unit for the S550. There is a thread in this section for it.

With the overlay they use, it wouldn't look good in landscape.

Yes, Knowing that you're running a 64GB nand you could possibly brick the HU. It's 50/50... I mean, if it's warranty I'd say give it a shot lol. Tell them you don't know what happened if it bricked

Heres another shot from the back seat and the rear of the car. Whatever I did, I changed the UI from the one with just the speed (the most updated one) to the other style but I actually like this one better. The HVAC controls look better IMO at the bottom of the screen. I was tinkering in the settings when trying to change to fahrenheit and after I rebooted it changed. I was also messing with the UI with all the model cars so that's most likely what changed it.

We'll figure it out This HU is like a regular tablet. We just need to re-enable the settings that are hidden. I worked on a ROM but it was for 1st gen. Lately I have couple stuff to do so it's hard to have free time to work on the ROM. I wanted to modify the settings for myself too so don't worry it should come up. I just got my car back a couple of days ago. I'm just checking if it's stable now or if I have to bringing back to the dealer.
