Cruise is coming from the transmission
Speedo is coming from the ABS sensors
Radio is coming from GPS

Depending on the quality of the GPS, I would take it over the other 2 as tire size greatly affects their speed.

Agree with the tire size lol. Just went from 235/50 to 265/35 I had a difference of 6-7mph. Thank God As-Built Data exist lol. I didn't wanna tune my car just for the tire size :headbonk: As for the radio to come from the GPS... Not sure on that one? Only Sirius XM uses satellite if I'm not mistaken...?

Sorry, may have wanted to be clearer, the "head unit" speedo is coming from GPS not any of the CAN bus sensors so technically it is the most accurate if the GPS is of any quality.

I don't really know if it's coming from the GPS... It could be. I'll double check if I can find something in the coding. I know Waze does lol. I used Waze to check my speed after I changed my As-Built Data for my tires.

It does, my speed worked before I plugged in my CAN bus for RPM, now if you use Torque or something similar with an OBDII plugin you would be back to ABS/Trans sensors.

As of right now, only native apps will auto-restart. If you install Spotify on the unit, you can try. Mine defaults to Bluetooth, because I like the home screen on the new launcher with the big speedo.
I've got Spotify on there already, it works really well! Especially being able to download your playlists right to the unit so you don't always need to hotspot. Just wish it auto launched.

Do the native apps still auto launch if you have another launcher like Nova set as the default? I haven't tried to set Nova as the default since I'm not sure how to switch back if something doesn't work.

And how is that new launcher coming along?

Using Nova as a default launcher is kinda useless, except in a testing situation. The native apps only launch by default in the stock launcher and the "S550_Launcher" (aka dark theme)

The Dark Theme Launcher is great (in my opinion) the only thing that needs to change is the weather only allows you to select regions in China.

I am rocking Nova as my default right now, I have widgets setup for audible and spotify plus my calendar and weather. Once we figure out Torque I can add gauges to the desktop too!

Torque is gonna take some serious development to make it work with the forced portrait screen, and native CANBUS signal, and it won't with via Bluetooth. It *may* work with a USB-OBDII dongle, but I don't have one to try it out. Maybe I'll order one from Amazon, I've been looking for things to stick in my cart.

I don't care about forced portrait, we can use Torque widgets! (Torque Lite booted up fine though on my car).

So what is the story with the OBDII Bluetooth. There is an option for an OBDII repeater on the app store, I am currently using a cellphone to hotspot for my car so I can try to use that app to repeat the signal over!

I tried it on my phone with the repeater, it doesn't work.

Don't you have an OBD-II USB connector? Feel like testing it with Torque?

I have one somewhere. But where... I need to look for it :D I have torque pro. If I ever find it I'll give it a shot. I know the Torque pro can use WiFi OBD as well. I might try it with the OBDLink MX :p

using WiFi would interfere with hotspots though...
