So one thing I've noticed is the volume is normal when I play the radio, but it's very low when I run spotify or YouTube directly from the apps on the unit from my mobile hotspot. It's a little louder when I run spotify or YouTube from my phone to the unit through bluetooth. Anyone else experiencing this?

Try to download a Volume booster (I had to try many of them until I found one to work for my project I built last time). It could be because of Android sound restrictions...

I've noticed that too. I think it's because the Bluetooth Source (Your phone, when streaming) you can adjust the audio output. When the source is the unit itself, you can't. It's kinda like a pre-gain control when you're using BT streaming. I'm sure we can eventually tweak the audio, once we get the aesthetics taken care of.

The files he has hosted are for this hardware only, and essentially they all come from the same Manufacturer. The files likely won't work on any other unit, like the horizontal one, if that's what you're asking?

Just didnt know how everything works is all. Wasn't in reference to the horizontal one. I have about a month before I can order one and wasn't sure if something could change to not allow the update to be applied.

I am not offering our updates to the manufacturer in the deal, they were pretty adamant about not giving a crap about people being unhappy with them.

If I am using bluetooth to push audio to my MyFordTouch SYNC2, the volume is about 3/4ths as loud.

First you have to find out if this is a unit from our company. If so, you can send it back for update. However, in order to get the next update after you send back. You will still need an internet connection.

I guarantee that was Hannah you were chatting with. She's the only one at I-5 who handles communications about that unit. There is a seller on eBay Canada that has the same software running that I-5 uses, but they're sold out of the unit, and haven't responded to my email.

I think it's the same software. The only difference it's the theme. Whenever I looked at the launcher I saw different theme (but not that one) They all looked almost the same. I guess it was for different cars...

PS: Telsa's APK Manager has been updated with the latest firmware update. (Keep in mind that it doesn't have the fixes for the BTSuite and Launcher yet). I will rebuild an update.img for the headunit once everything is fixed.

FYI - I figured out why the navigation button on my unit wasn't working. For some reason it shipped with a setting called "Local Navigation" or Local Nav" turned on. After this was switched to "No" I was able to use the Nav button.

That support person really told you to take the unit out, ship it to them, and they'll update it....wow... Yeah, anytime I need an update, I'll get right on that.
