A 10" wheel with +42 clears but it's reallllly close. The extra 2 mm of a +40 is welcome.

Are you talking inside or brakes? The same offset clears Brembos too and my buddy runs 285/30 instead of the 275/35 I do (not much difference, but still slightly wider).

Strut clearance.

Another guy had a 20x10 ET45 with a 275/35 tire and it cleared his strut, but I can’t imagine it clears by much.

What's your definition of "reallllly close"?

Curiosity, mainly.

Interesting. I read through lots of posts here to learn [and avoid asking questions that have been asked over and over :)] A common recommendation is ET +35 for square setups and it seems most with +40 or more are using 5mm spacers in front. I suppose wheel and tire specific specs enter the equation and some don't want to cut it really close.

Yeah, with many setups (most?) the tire sidewall extends out from the rim metal a bit, so that's usually where you'll rub first. Some tires have more 'beef' on the sidewall than others (rim protector feature), so those might have tighter clearances.

19 or 20x10 +35 is hella flush, so that's why I think people prefer it over the ET 40, which is still a great look.

Was looking at running 295/35 on a 19x10.5 +43 wheel all around. I put so many numbers into several online calculators and I believe I should be good in the back with no poke and somewhat flush. But in the front I will need like a 3 mm or 5 mm spacer to sit flush and clear the Brembos. Looking to get factory performance specs so no serious camber.

Does this sound right ?

FWIW: I have 19x10.5 ET35 that will fit front and back with no spacers, but to even the wheel track and for aesthetics, I put a 8mm spacer up front (anything more than 5mm and you need extended lugs, which I have).

Yea I saw. I was actually using yours as a reference. But to fit 295s and not have the wheels poke too much I figured it would work with a higher offset then a small spacer to clear the front strut.

Unless you're moving the fenders out away from the hubs, the space available for the wheel face design isn't changing, so you get what you get. Some designs are visibly deeper than others.

SVE R350 < Project 6gr 10" < Project 6gr 11" for basically the same wheel face design.
