Anyone know how much the insurance costs? It's probably buried in this thread somewhere...

Benefits and limitations of TA are well-known. However, the following are a few considerations for day 2:
- Focus is on track time--no need for a lot of theory or drills
- You know the track and can concentrate on specific areas and techniques
- Driving a track-prepped GT back to back with the GT350 on the same track allows for a true comparison (assuming the weather doesn't veto that plan)

You know, it’s funny you said that. I kind of felt the same way even though it was my first track experience.
It‘s probably best so we don’t hit a wall. I’m thinking the class is to just give us a glimpse of what the car can do. That came to light when an instructor took us for a couple hot laps.
I only felt that way on the first track session. After that, I had different people in my group, but same instructor. And we definitely went faster. I think it's the slowest driver in the group that sets the pace, unfortunately for the rest. A point I raised in the class beforehand.
By the last session, again some slight changes in drivers, but same instructor. And thats when we really went fast. We passed one group out ahead of us, and then caught up to another. We were doing 120 mph coming out of the oval into the straightaway. Saw some other's video from that day on Youtube, and they were only doing 90-100 mph. So, is it the drivers, or instructors?
And btw, I never drove a track before this. But I did pay much attention to them explaining about hitting the corret apex in the turns, and looking for those green cones.

That is true, I called today to sign up and all the new classes added are 1 day classes. There are 2-days listed for each 1-day class because of the reception the night before. I want a 2 day class, but signed up for the October 1-day class (OCT 24-25) to ensure I get to attend. I'm on the wait list for a 2-day class. Best of luck all.

You will not be disappointed! My favorite quote from the day was an instructor telling us to "drive this car like it is not yours!"
This is actually the key to the whole day. You know these things have been driven to the brink, so you have no problem exploring their limits.

You can tune in now and watch the NASCAR drivers practice on the track we just ran. Of wait until the weekend of course and watch the big show.
