  1. Getting near that depressing time of year-Winter storage

While I'm sad to put the 350 away, I have a pretty good alternative... Focus RS prime time :D.
  2. Getting near that depressing time of year-Winter storage

I just put mine to sleep last weekend. I missed it the next day and still do lol :(. I got a cover on order which should arrive Friday to keep the dust from piling on during the winter...
  3. Auto Cross

I took part in my first autoX just a few weeks ago and had a great time. It was the first time I got to drive the car on roads that actually require me to move the steering wheel. I highly recommend it, although more seat time would always be a nice thing. I plan on taking it to the track next...
  4. Track Attack cars for sale?

Early production vehicles can't be legally sold. Now that I think of it though PP = pilot production and those should be saleable (it's just a test run of production intent vehicles before mass production). For sure all MP (mass production) vehicles would be saleable. My car had a "G" starting...
  5. Track Attack cars for sale?

We didn't go into details much, it was just a passing question another attendee asked. All of the PP vehicles (prototype builds) will be crushed and the later builds will be sold. The only vehicle types available are base GT350s. They have a mix of 2016-2019/20 it would seem.
  6. Official GT350 Track Attack Attendance Thread

Thanks me too. It would have been very dicey with liability and stuff too. A nightmare I'm glad to have dodged. This particular instructor wasn't out for the lapping sessions so I think he hopped in to help out with demo laps and didn't have a car as a result.
  7. Track Attack cars for sale?

An instructor today said they would be going on sale fairly soon after the last track attack in November. He estimated they would sell them in the 40k range and that they would go almost instantly.
  8. Official GT350 Track Attack Attendance Thread

I attended today's session. It was a blast! It was very well put together imo. They shuffled us around a bit and I was in a pretty quick group. We hit mid 130s on the back "Straight." My car (Poor #6) ate a wall while an instructor was driving it to give a hot lap. Apparently it leaked some...

I see it the same as you. There are no products to select.
  10. Another 2020 engine failure

Yikes, very sorry to hear that. I don't blame you at all for parting ways and it sounds like you got a solid replacement. I would do the same after all of that heartache. I agree, the car is an absolute joy to drive and one of my all time favorites. The original owner purchased an extended...
  11. Another 2020 engine failure

That's too bad about your RS. What year was it? Mine is a '16 and I've had it for about 3 years now. I got it used. It only has about 33k miles on it now. Knock on wood, aside from having the head gasket recall done it has been very reliable for me. What was the issue that made you have to get...
  12. Another 2020 engine failure

Really sorry to hear about your experience. Unfortunately this echoes my experience dealing with Ford corporate/customer service as well. I went through hell buying a '20 GT350 out of state only to have my car held hostage when a local dealer tried to actually treat me well (long story for...
  13. What did you do to your GT350 today?

Haha exactly. When I read your comment about 1k for break-in I started second guessing myself and started to be a bit worried about my life choices, so I went back to double check. I thought I'd share in case anyone else wasn't sure.
  14. What did you do to your GT350 today?

HEP Represent :D Based on the owners supplement I don't believe you had to wait for 1k miles to hit redline. My understanding is 100 miles and then you should be good to go. Beyond that you shouldn't do it frequently until you hit 1K miles. In other words, don't track the car until you've...

    Will do, thanks!
  16. Official GT350 Track Attack Attendance Thread

Thanks everyone for the input! I decided to risk it and fly out at 6:45 haha. I'd rather not have to stay another night and take another day off if I can avoid it. I'm really looking forward to it! By the way, that bbq looks delicious.
  17. Official GT350 Track Attack Attendance Thread

Those who have already been to the track attack, what time did your day end? They advertise 5pm but I've heard some mention 4pm I believe? I ask because I am trying to see what flight I can book to leave that evening. My available times are only 6pm and 6:45, otherwise I have to stay another...
  18. Had Full Xpel Ultimate PPF Done - Need Opinions on the work done

Here's another update: Last week I was told I could go in the 11th or 12th because the owner should have time then. I called the 12th and he told me that he would be out of town, but would be back Monday or Tuesday... Just my luck we lost power due to a big storm on the 11th, which remained this...
  19. Had Full Xpel Ultimate PPF Done - Need Opinions on the work done

I can't remember the exact video I saw it in, but I was watching some videos by chicago auto pros, which seem to have a faily decent rep based on what I've read and heard, and they mention that the templates don't go beyond the panels in most cases. A good shop will take the template from xpel...
  20. Had Full Xpel Ultimate PPF Done - Need Opinions on the work done

Yeah, that makes sense. Thanks. I'm sure if it was wide spread it would be showing up a lot more. I'm not too worried about it. I'm more more concerned with my stripes than the possibility of the paint having an issue tbh... I have stripe PTSD after the dealer I got it from took multiple months...
