Someone touched the wall yesterday.
I think my recorder caught it, my eyes were elsewhere. Man I felt so bad for the guy. It can happen to any of us!
Are instructor said “just like NASCAR”.
460Fred, did you have dry conditions?

Someone did in ours as well. I had a few close calls in the rain my self and thankfully walked away with no damage. Any video footage of it?

What time did you all get onto the track? I'm there next Thursday, currently the weather is calling for rain in the AM. Hopefully it's clear when we get on the track.

Thought I was doing pretty good for a first timer until the ride along ;-)
Instructors were very good.
Different story here...
I was on my ride-along and was getting bored... I started yelling instructions at the top of my lungs: "BRAKE-BRAKE-BRAKE", "You're not doing it right", "Turn NOW... you're missing the apex", "Listen to me, you can get more out of this if you follow my instructions!".

The track was dry on the 23rd. I think everyone had a great time. That they took my son on a ride along fantastic, it made his day.
The class had a good laugh over 3 Freds all in the same classroom...

460Fred, did you have dry conditions?
Yes.
The weather was perfect, around 60-65 and cloudy. Nice and c

Hahahaha
Seriously, was your instructor like that? Mine was funny as heck and kept encouraging us in a very positive way.

You will get on the track rain or shine. We did our heal toe, and cone course in the pouring rain, which made it interesting

I'm excited about it, but also very nervous, especially if it is raining.

Just watch out for standing water and ease up on the throttle when going over painted areas on the track. That said, the GT350 continues to surprise me with how much mechanical grip it has--especially on a track that I'm completely new to.

One other thing I found tricky about the day: I'd never used HANS before, so visibility with a mostly immobilized head was less than I'm used to. Double-check your seat position and sight lines before leaving the garage!

I was pretty nervous in the rain, just watch how much throttle you give it leaving the corners, and what the below said

Yes, and remember, CLOSE YOUR DOOR before you strap in

More good advice, I'll be sure to do that, I think someone else mentioned that in the thread.
