Wow that was fast. September sold out. Some more dates in April.

I’m thinking of that April 8-9 class. Will call them tomorrow.
Would like you to sneak into the May date that I have and bring that Brock paint job with you to Charlotte.

Slingblade, I totally understand with that truly incredible project you’ve got going on.

Question for those who have racing experience. Is this just a drive around type of experience on the road course or is there a point where you can drive the car like you should on a race track  Most of the videos I see look like just follow the leader at half speed low RPM shifts.
It is follow the leader for most sessions. But, by session two my brother and I were hammering the long straight to 135 or so, I was hitting the limiter every lap but honored their request to stay out of 5th gear. My brother was running his GT pretty hard, he has thousands of hours in SCCA and circle track/mini-stock cars. He enjoyed the heck out of it since he hadn't been on a track in several years.

There are some guys who are quick and a few grannies who troll the track at 80 on the straight and 45 thru the infield. It is what you make of it. I was disappointed with the first track session to be honest. We sat down with the instructor and outlined our expectations and I made it clear that there is almost no speed I won't drive in a car. Our instructor stepped it up to a challenging level for us for the rest of the class (two days).

It never was racing fast, but we were very fast. In 20-30 minutes the non-Cup2 tires started to fade traction wise but not to any dangerous degree, the cars brakes never had an issue so it was fun. It is supposed to be 80-90% of racing and our instructor was glad to take us there and was happy to provide advice on improvement.

I felt like I got a lot out of it, the extra money was well spent and I improved my ability to get around a track a ton. If the Covid crap ever ends, I'd consider another session. It was far more entertaining than seeing the Grand Canyon.

I’m going in August. I attended a TrackAttack event in 2016 in Utah after I bought my first GT350. Had fun that day. Looking forward to another. Might drive Tail of the Dragon on the way...

Anybody know if they are going to offer anymore 2-day events?
