Illinois Governor just closed down all restaurants and bars. The need to enforce social distancing is no joke. More government mandated closures are likely to follow. FPS might get swept up in that. However fun it may be, it certainly is non-essential.

Here is the email I sent Amie from the FP school. I’m awaiting the response I get and will share any info I receive

Amie,

I called Jill to cancel my track attack and additional track day next week. Unfortunately this was do to the worldwide pandemic going on. I believe I paid for track insurance. Do I at least get that refunded? When I paid for it they said I could decide the day of the event but I just prepaid, therefore, I believe I should at least get that refunded. There is nothing to insure anymore since I won’t be there. I wish FP school would reconsider at least letting people reschedule but as of Friday your policy was not to do that. Many customers are flying in and the President of The United States has publicly said that they are considering shutting down domestic travel. In order for your your customers to attend they are taking the VERY REAL risk of not having anyway to get back home. Every day more and more stores are shutting their doors. Honestly it just leaves a bad taste that FP race schools attitude is too bad, oh well. Wasn’t the whole point of the GT350 track attack started so customers could get excited about their cars and Ford as a brand?

Respectfully

Right on Steve I wish you luck. As you know she was not very responsive to my inquiry about a cancellation/reschedule policy. They just have to do something along those lines. It is just the right thing to do. If not I guess we need to move up the corporate ladder with our concerns.

Anticipate by the end of the week the country will have caught up:

https://www.thelocal.ch/20200313/wh...n-across-europe-to-fight-coronavirus-pandemic

CONUS: "This memorandum applies to all DoD military and civilian personnel and their families assigned to DoD installations, facilities, and surrounding areas in the United States and its territories. All DoD military personnel will stop movement while this memorandum is in effect. In addition, DoD civilian personnel and DoD family members, whose transportation is government-funded, will also stop movement."

OCONUS: "Effective March 13, 2020, all DoD uniformed personnel, civilian personnel and family
members traveling to, from, or through Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
Travel Health Notices Level 3 (COVID-19) designated locations, will stop movement for the
next 60 days."

Well, I believe there are only small amount of people who don't want to attend FPS. I certainly will go for my schedule sesion unless it's canceled.

If it was a reasonable drive I would attend. I don't think getting an an airplane is the thing to do right now.

I'm driving from central NJ to Charlotte 9 hours drive on my GT350. Not so fun for you to drive 30 hours. That understandable. As for me I would fly anyway.

The way this is escalating I don't think the school will be open in a few weeks.

My wife and I were going to be attending the 2 day event this week, But the DoD has restricted all travel for military members so I've contacted them about rescheduling/ refund. Since it's no longer a personal choice I curious if they'll make some adjustments. Hope this works out for all of us.
