Indeed. Ford either can not afford the ZF automatics, or does not understand the importance of offering them. I have been driving manual transmission vehicles for 34 years and can afford a GT350 or GT350R, but will not buy one without an automatic. Why do you think Ford is not offering an automatic?...why no performance automatic for the halo Mustang? .....for a car to be the fastest it can, it must have an automatic nowadays.
I'm guessing the R&D required to develop a bespoke DCT or auto for a relatively low volume car wasn't worth it to them. I too would've liked a DCT (which is why I'm leaning towards an M4) but the manual-only thing isn't a deal breaker for me.Indeed. Carbon Brakes???....
Ihc95 - ZF, the company which supplies FCA a transmission which is used with the 707HP engine, and supplies BMW and a number of other companies with transmissions, is one readily available source.
So production rear spoiler will be different from the one we see today?....
I don't think a traditional torque converter automatic would be best suited for the race track. I don't care that the Z06 has one. From an engineering standpoint, a DCT will always be better than a traditional auto (in terms of performance). Why do you think track cars like a GT3, 458 Speciale, McLaren etc. use DCTs rather than autos?Ihc95 - ZF, the company which supplies FCA a transmission which is used with the 707HP engine, and supplies BMW and a number of other companies with transmissions, is one readily available source.
Where did you see that MagneRide was optional on the GT350? I thought it was standard...Both the GT350 and GT350R should have OPTIONAL MRC. I know Ford said it is optional on the GT350, I doubt they would restrict their competitor with illegal equipment... Especially since the issue was brought up on my threads far in advance.
why is so hard for them to reveal the wheel and tire sizes?....
Because red.Why is there no letter "R" anywhere on the car? For some reason I thought I'd see some Rs there somewhere.
And red brake calipers. Is this a serious performance car or some 16 year old's JDM wanna be?
