I like to disassemble things.
Down here in Georgia with my good friend George from MGW. We spent some time bolting on an Anderson carbon fiber hood onto his HP Mach1 and George pulled the side stripes off as well. I like my GT500 but I like the looks here as well, very much.

Hood pins are from Quick Latch and are very similar to the ones used on the GT500. In fact, the hood opening "process" is identical. Personally, I like the stripes on the Mach but I like the stripeless look as well. What I like more than anything is the silver and wish I would have chosen it for my GT500.

The Mach is a company car, hence the MGW Shifters decal on the hind quarters. George has some Signature wheels coming from Terrance as well as a CF wing and flap.

You have to be wary of vent location relative to the open air cleaner element, especially on the version you linked. On the one we added, this one, there isn't protection directly above the intake manifold. I talked to George about a simple, fabricated rain tray and he was receptive. It wouldn't take much.

Anderson didn't drill for any of the hoses/pins for the windshield squirters or for the seals at the front or rear of the hood. Installing the hood pins is a little tricky and it definitely helps having two people. But when all is said and done it is a nice, lightweight piece. The factory hood is aluminum but there is still a savings there in terms of weight. I'm leaving for home tomorrow but I'll try to get some clear underhood shots today.

That is a slick looking Mach 1. I thought it was a GT500 at first look!

That is one nice Mach 1. That's what i wanted just none in houston area. So i bought a 21 gt performance pack with 401 with manual and absolutely love it. Mine had stripes from the factory because of special order. Just remove them today and imo she looks better

Did you have the dealership remove them? If not, who did it, and how?

I love the Mach 1 hood graphics but might consider removing the side stripes because of this picture, this looks really fantastic.

Gotta agree in this case, she looks better naked. But those stripes are not comparable with Mach 1 stripes. I wasn't sure about stripes that I'd choose on GT, would probably go without too. But Mach 1 settled that decision for me nicely.
