I guess it does, at least where swapping to a Ford is concerned.

Other than the XR6 Turbo is faster nobody has really said anything negative about the Holden, which is good, but a surprise. Does that mean only the stuff I already spotted (silent exhaust and obvious practicality compromises) is a downside?

Can't speak for the VF, never been in one, but my VE 2 was great (2011 SSV). Only gripe I had was the notchy gearbox, but from most accounts the TR6060 is much smoother than the T56.

Low down torque was a bit lacking but improved with headers & tune - power of the W310 will be on par with the Mustang.

Would still be driving it around if I hadn't impulse ordered the stang

Thanks guys, all good input and some food for thought.

I don't know about prices in Australia, but here in NZ Utes hold their value ludicrously well and really I would struggle to find a VF with under 75,000km .
Pity you aren't local to me, could cut you a deal on a GTS Maloo with less than 200kms on it- with 430kw out of the box, not need to add fruit :)

Wow, one of the 250, 10 of which we got here in NZ? I might have been up for that if you were local.

I drove a 2015 340KW Maloo, but it was a little more than I wanted to spend and in all honesty not different enough to the 25% cheaper SSV Redline with W310 kit to make me bust the budget, but the 430KW version is a bit more special. What the story with it being available at 200kms?

Was lucky enough to grab an allocation, was a bit of a "knee jerk" when I missed out on another car (which I since have, so it is sitting as the odd one out in a mustang shed)

Quickest car I have ever owned, is scary (and I turned traction control off once - once only :))

cheers
