I have been shopping around for a set of nickel luster wheels for my pp1. There are a lot of web sites that sell them refurbished. Has anyone ever purchased wheels like this and if so were you happy with the purchase.

You can’t tell the difference. I’ve purchased many from reputable wheel shops for 50% less than new OEM wheels.

I wonder;

We're they stock wheels that were damaged and re-painted? Or take-offs where they simply refinished them for the color change?

If they actually re-power-coat them, that's one thing. If they paint them, that's something else. The painted finished doesn't last, and starts peeling after awhile.

I would just buy a set of the OE Wheels LLC PP replicas in 19x10. Availible in silver and or chrome IIRC.

Can you post the specific company you're talking about, so I can check them out please? LLC means nothing.

The OE Wheel replicas are lighter than stock, but not by a lot. Like 2-4 pounds. And the Chrome version likely adds some of that back.

If you want lighter you will need to pay more, and likely give up retaining the PP1 look.

For that kind of money you can get wheels that are 10 pounds lighter each and in various designs. Sve from lmr does a few sales each year. Thanksgiving week is 40% on certain models. Id consider that route to get the bonus of reducing weight and looks you'd like
