OEM Navigation Retrofit Kit. Albeit Pricy.

Did anyone else catch this kit at SEMA that allows for the non premium radio's to be upgraded for a staggering, but somewhat reasonable $1200? Here's the link from where I saw it over on SVT.

Not much info on the svt site as it is. But yes I agree as well, it is not OEM. Likely an acquired taboo kit from china with different software.

I bet it's the same as the Chinese one minus the toggle buttons. Wonder how the interface is...?

The notches above the volume knob seem to suggest that it's probably sourced from the same place as the Taobao kit. The glossy screen too, although that may just be a non-working prototype. Also, funny they don't show the back of the unit--that's a big problem in that you have to cut up the plastic cover on the back to make the aftermarket units close up nicely.

I'd be all for this if it means there's a way to get a totally Americanized version of the software, somehow. Would hate to have to rip out the whole unit again--I don't think I can spare too many more of those little blue plastic clip things on the dash panels.

Very interesting. So it is the EXACT same kit as the Chinese ones. I am assuming it just has more Americanized software.
