Customer deaths? I have not heard about that, and can't find an article. Can you link one? This is all I could find: http://www.autonews.com/article/201...2-recalls-stop-sale-orders-for-2015-corvettes
You mean the ignition key fault that was fleet-wide? Are you serious? You find NOTHING about customer deaths being linked directly to GM quality assurance shortcomings? Are you looking for Corvette specific things? I never once said ONLY Corvette. Merely gave an example.

Please...take this elsewhere....This thread is not going to turn in to a pissing contest...
Wut? I was actually interested. I'm looking into Corvettes and haven't heard of customer deaths related to a halt in production. I was wanting to know what model years to avoid, so I asked for information as I couldn't find any.

They didn't stop production for the Corvette due to the ignition faults. They stopped the production due to reasons in the site I listed. The ignition faults is related to vehicles with actual keys, not push button start vehicles. The Stingray isn't involved currently in the ignition debacle, at least not to my knowledge. And you did state Corvette, which is why I asked.

I have a few friends that are lifelong Chevy fanatics that had their last straw when production on the new stingray was stopped entirely AFTER customer deaths from subpar quality assurance.
That statement implies that production was stopped due to customer deaths from subpar quality assurance on the Stingray.

Sorry but yeah not currently. Other GM vehicles are involved in an airbag debacle to where when it deploys it creates shrapnel that could possibly kill you.

The Takata airbag issue? That's industry wide, not sure if the 15+ Mustangs are affected but my '13 Boss is. Such a nightmare.

Sounds like it... man I bet it is. That's so ridiculous!
Anyways, yeah the ignition key thing was a pretty big deal. I know that was a GM fleet-wide deal.

I think this sales trend will continue even after the new Camaros hit dealerships. I sat in the new car at the Chevy Find New Roads event last night. My instant impression is that there is no way I would want to drive this thing. The visibility is significantly worse than my 5th gen and that is not an exaggeration. The distance from the top of the steering wheel to the roof felt like less than 12 inches and there literally was no visibility out of the back windshield. I sat in the back seat and my head was jammed against the ceiling and I'm only 5'6". The driver's seat even felt tight and cramped. I'm sure the car is a dream to drive with all that power and so little weight; however, I think the average car buyer will not be able to get past the terribly cramped interior and non existent visibility.

Remember that, before the 2003-2009 hiatus, the Mustang outsold the Camaro 4 to 1. It was the same then: lower performance, but better comfort, better livability, and lower base price.

Now, the Mustang has a completely new chassis and body style, the Camaro hasn't been on hiatus, and the Camaro only has an evolutionary body style. Camaro may have a new chassis, but the body is far from new looking. I think the Mustang may keep outselling the Camaro.

Nice to see the Mustang ahead in cumulative sales. Probably the Camaro will do a lot better in 2016 and it will be an interesting race.

I don't think Mustang sales will slow down in November. I am seeing more new Mustangs up here in Minnesota than I can remember in recent years. Most likely sales will slow when we start getting snow. If Minnesota sales are an indicator , November sales of the Mustang should be outstanding.

This exactly! If like many people, you can only afford one car and want something fun to drive, living with the car day to day is FAR more important than a few tenths of a second difference the magazines can put out.

My new mustang is just as, if not more comfortable than my 2001 Lexus IS, has a bigger trunk, is much faster and gets better fuel economy. Talk about having your cake and eating it too :D. Subjectively, it is among one of the most attractive cars ever designed, and obviously 10k people a month agree.
I think the sales numbers cannot continue at this rate, I don't think Ford has the production capacity and I think QC has been sacrificed a bit to meet demand. My car has been faultless, and for that I am immensely grateful but I have read about too many issues and lemons to put my mind completely at ease

LOL I was part of both sides Chevy and Ford. I picked the good side now, no longer with Dark Vader and crew.

10 000 Mustangs to Europe so far

I saw some figures of 10 000 Mustangs sold in Europe so far.
My dealer has sold over 200, 190 GT and 5 EB. V6 NA in Europe.
But delivery time sucks, 6-8 months for Sweden, even more for the RH drive cars.
