So question, I have a ‘15 Mustang GT with catless longtubes tuned by Lund and I’m still throwing a cel light, only thing I can think of is since I didn’t have o2 extensions the guy that installed my headers made custom wires to extend them maybe they weren’t done right and that’s why I’m getting a code? Also not reading my AFR’s.. just wondering if anyone’s had this problem even after being tuned.

No one can guess what your installer did. You'll have to drop the system and look.

It's possible the O2 sensors are just dangling, or zip-tied up, with the O2 bungs welded shut.

Did you not know about the O2 wire extensions when you bought the LTHs?

ETA; I see your other question.....

Return it to stock, and start over. There's no way of knowing what is affecting what. This is why people do one mod at a time.

Also not reading my AFR
Your guy is a clown if he in fact cut the wires. IF you unclip the wires from the body, that should just be enough slack to mate with the O2's, or as mentioned, get extensions. What code(s) is it showing? Hope ur not driving it with no AF reference.

I did not know about the Extensions at the time, it was after the headers were fully installed when he asked me if I had extensions when I said no because I figured they reached he said that wasn’t the case and had to splice and make his own extensions. The shop was reputable so I didn’t really question anything. Already purchased new o2’s and new harnesses so I’m hoping that’ll fix everything.

Yea I know.. that was the last time I used them for anything. And it shows my afr is at 14 which is normal but it doesn’t move which I read is fine. Bought new o2’s and harnesses last night so I’m hoping that solves the problem.

Floor it in 3rd at 2000 rpm and see if it moves to like 12:1
Okay so I did what you said to do and my afr’s didn’t move. I replaced both upstream o2 sensors and harnesses and now everything works my afrs now move and aren’t at a standstill. Now this might be a dumb question but are the upstream sensors the same as the downstream? Because I can’t find downstream o2 sensors anywhere.

Glad it worked out for you ! I would imagine the upstreams o2 are different as they are widebands. No need for a wideband on the downstream as it's only job is to sniff the exhaust to see if its different from the upstream gases.

Appreciate the help man! And yea that’s what I figured I guess I’m gonna have to go to ford to see if they sell downstream sensors since I can’t find them online.

Rockauto has all four sensors. I just bought a complete set from them. The downstream sensors are the same part#. They work on either side. I am at work right now but when I get home I can get the number for you. I paid I think $22 each and are OEM Motorcraft

Btw how in the hell did you get to the passenger side upper sensor? I crawled under and immediately said F that. I could barely see the sensor let alone the connector.

From Ford:
FR3Z-9F472-D right upper 2014-17
FR3Z-9F472-E left upper 2014-17
FR3Z-9G444-A right/left lower 2013 up to 2017
That's what I read anyways.

Awesome that’s good to know! And I got the passenger upstream sensor from the top, disconnected it then put the car back up in the air and replaced it.
