o2 sensor removal

Hey, Im looking at fabricating my own off road pipes, trying to search I can't seem to find anywhere if I can just remove the o2 sensors completely from behind the cat?

Do I need them there if im turning them off in the SCT X4?

Can you turn them off anymore with the X4?

I thought removing those abilities was part of their settlement with the EPA.

Not sure, but mine I not the US version, its an International controller (7015INT)
