Capitol Raceway is only 20min from me, so I'm guessing about 40 from Fairfax.

I like Mason Dixon much better than Capitol. Seems better organized. 75-80 was a disaster last time I was there. MIR is the track I go to for track rentals only, otherwise I'm going to Mason Dixon.

Hands down MIR is the best...... CRAPitol was a mess the last time I was there but I heard the track was redone ... can anyone confirm?? Cecil isnt bad on a whim either.

Sounds like you got caught going over 80 and he was generous to drop it to a 79. If not, you are walking a fine line going that speed.
