Had to take apart the door card on my 2016 S550 GT because I heard a rattling sound.

Found this wire unplugged on the driver's side door and can't find the male end. It is on the opposite side of the window(side of outside door panel) so I know that it does not go to door card/speaker etc. as the window would block it when down

Thanks!

Perhaps a plug for the optional memory power seat?

Owned the car since new? Used?

As noted earlier, it could simply be a plug for which there was never an end. Over time, whatever was keeping it in-place worked loose.

Everything still working, yes? No alarms or lights?

The only items that uses power on the skin side of the door would be the sideview mirror and/or the door handle. If those are both connected I'd check with a dealer to see what it is.

Possibly for the optional heated mirrors and/or blind spot awareness system?

Did I just not mention the sideview mirror? Kidding!:cwl::crackup::like:
You did. I was running with the assumptions you had only power mirrors and there was a separate connector built in for the options. Not much else that can be in the door and I'd assume Ford would use a one size fits all harness.

So you have the my color ambient lighting in the door pulls? If not, it may be the harness to the ambient LED that is attached to the door pull.
