In a recent thread about EB max speed, there was some discussion about non-PP Automatic cars coming with 3.15 or 3.31.
It was always my understanding that ALL EB's with A/T had 3.15 and ALL M/T had 3.31 (except PP where all are 3.55).
On Ford's B & P ...
Base model 100A 3.15 is std but you can select 3.31 at no cost adder.
Prem model 200A/201A/FB/CV 3.31 is std and 3.15 in not even shown.
In the 07/01/2014 Order Guide ...
On page 5 Base 100A the 3.15 axle is shown to be included in the "443" A/T option and there is no mention of the 3.31 being a no-cost option.
On page 7 Prem 200A/201A the 3.15 axle IN NOT listed as part of "443", nor is there any mention of it or the 3.31 as being std. or optional.
I've been tracking my local dealers "Extended Inventory" since early October and there are currently 260 VIN numbers on my list ...
13 of which are non-PP 100A A/T
and
40 that are non-PP 200A/201A FB/CV A/T.
I just looked at all 53 of these Window stickers ...
ALL 13 of the Base 100A have a line that shows the 3.15 as a no charge option.
ALL 40 of the Premiums make no mention of ANY axle ratio.
Based on this, I guess it is possible that the 3.31 is std. on ALL EB Premiums and 3.15 is obviously std. on base models ... but can you really get a 3.31 on a base as the Ford B&P is suggesting ??
Has anyone with an EB Prem A/T non-PP actually crawled under their car and found a differential tag stating what ratio is there ?? If not, can please do it and post what they find in this thread !!
I'm real curious !!
