Has anyone driven the PP vs non-PP and could give me some feedback?

I am thinking of trading my PP in for a non-PP convertible, but don't want to miss out on the handling - which I really like. Braking I don't think I would notice on every day driving. Or would I?

I've driven both, especially the weeks prior to purchasing mine. For me, I can tell a noticeable difference between the two in both handling and braking, but I think that might vary from owner to owner. However, with that said, I think you'll notice a big difference between the verts handling and braking vs the PP cars.

Thank you! I really regret not getting the vert... Maybe trade it in next year around August - September, hopefully not take a big hit and Ford announces another 0% APR.

Just an FYI... For 2016 you can get the PP on the Vert.

I have a 2015 vert. I've done the Eibach Pro Kit Plus (springs and sway bars) and the Lethal Performance JLT Brake Cooling Duct Kit. It rides and handles great. I intend to upgrade the brakes to the Brembos next year.

No problem. Verts are a lot of fun in the summer, but aren't usually as biased towards performance due to the extra weight, lack of rigidity, and similar stuff that's the nature of a convertible. I wish you the best when/if you decide to trade it.

Thank you! Do you have the upgraded calipers? They look as big as mine (and I have a PP).

Another stupid question: Does installing a different set of aftermarket springs decrease the life time of struts and shocks?

Can I do minor modifications to have that hugging the road (not leaning from one side to another) feel when turning with minimal expenses? Is that what the upgraded sway bars do? I think I will miss this the most.

The Eibach Pro Kit Plus is a big change from the stock nonPP suspension. It has a hunkered down look and yet isn't harsh on the road. I've never driven a PP car but I know the stock nonPP was way too floaty for my likes. Now the car has a very solid and stable feel. No more dive during braking or lift during acceleration and the car corners considerably more flat.

Since it's only a mild 1" drop and you get new stoppers for the struts and rear shocks, longevity of the stock components shouldn't be compromised.

I also had camber bolts and an alignment done to make sure it tracks true.

My calipers are the stock GT nonPP ones.

The biggest thing you will notice is in the braking department. Stock brakes are underwhelming and I'd imagine even worse on the heavy convertible.

The convertible itself is going to decrease rigidity and then add weight on top of the smaller brakes

Honestly, if I were getting a convertible I'd get one of the N/A engines instead of the turbo.
