Nice condition on the TE Cortina in some of those shots....not many of them survived their genetic rust disease. A rare sight these days.Oxford White GT FB seen at the Dealer
Thanks for the info paulb351,
So from July 2016 onward builds will be MY2017 with Sync 3 etc?
Needs a larger fuel tank as will give a range of only about 300kmAnd...?![]()
Hi MuztangWhen at the dealer I asked to view any cars and the principal kindly showed me 2 client cars in the basement (from the outside only). See pics below of a ruby red GT convertible and an oxford white GT fastback.
300km city driving on a tank would be pretty good - country/highway driving would see much more km per tankNeeds a larger fuel tank as will give a range of only about 300km
Hi MC, I only had a very quick look for less than 5 minutes as dealership was closing, but you are right the panel alignment was poor in places, I have also seen a race red convertible which I posted earlier with bad panel gaps and alignment particularly around the doors and bootlid. Curiously the first Mustang I saw in Australia (the yellow LHD one doing the rounds) was quite good in that respect. It would not hurt to ask the dealer to rectify as I'm sure a panel beater for example would not let a customer car go out that way.Muztang, how did the panel fit look in real life on that white GT fastback. The real bumper looks a bit odd around where it joins to the back guard (or whatever you call that area on a coupe), and door on LH side looks a little low (look at the plastic black window sill and crease in door immediately behind the door handle). Maybe just the lighting and angle?
I saw someone else complaining about panel fit imperfections on another white FB over at another Mustang forum. Perhaps white shows up imperfections more?
I've spent hours getting these things almost perfect on older cars, particularly droopy doors, so I tend to be picky.
On another matter, I've never bought a new car before, so to what extend can you say, that's not quite right when seeing the car after delivery? Obviously not going to accept minor dings, scratches and paint imperfections, but to what extend can you demand they fix up things like panel alignment? It's not like we get to have a look at 2 or 3 and say "yep, I'll have the one on the right".
