I’ve been considering installing clear tails for some time. I love how they look on Euro spec cars, especially on lighter colors. To me, this cleaned the rear up greatly by getting rid of the red tails. It’s one of my favorite mods I’ve done. I took a leap of faith and bought them off Amazon for $399 and they fit PERFECT.

You could also replace the rear side marker with one that has white glass and is red illuminated .
No idea if there is such a thing?

...and maybe get blacked out emblems?

Yes. I thought about that as well. Might add that to the mix at some point. I haven’t looked at the options yet though.

Yes, here:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B093D35KSD?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

Install is easy. Two plastic clips for the trunk carpet on each side, 3 10mm bolts holding the tails in. One weather grommet and one electrical connection. Nothing is difficult to get to. Shipping was also super fast. Got them next day free using a PRIME trial.

Yes, still red. It’s a softer red though. Not as sharp and blindingly bright. No more retina burns opening the trunk 😂

Guess I should have gotten those!
I picked up ones off the S550Euros site for about $450 or $500, and they are still blinding bright!

I would keep the chrome GT. It pairs well with the clear tails.

I went with smoked side markers from Amazon and valence reflectors from ebay to get rid of all the red.

Amazon.ca VPMOTOZ side markers for $40 CDN. Terrible reviews all complaining of the LED's slowly burning out. BUT I believe that is because these don't seal very firmly with the o-ring on the factory plug. I used some black epoxy to permanently seal the connector socket to the LED housing. I installed these in April and they are still working fine. They look OEM and 100x better.

Thanks! I got the clear markers from ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/195159710250
One arrived with a chipped corner, but the seller sent a replacement right away.
They don't really reflect like a true reflector would at night. Basically just cosmetic.
