Make sure it's unpacked correctly. exFAT and FAT32 will both work. the LST ERR means the autoinstall.lst script cannot find one of the tarballs (./SyncMyRide/*.tar.gz)

I tried again after reformatting to FAT32 and got the MEM_ERROR03. Ugh.

I keep getting PKG ERR03 - the download is bad. Downloaded from Ford Owner/Sync Update online to computer, extracted to USB formatted to exFAT. Same error every time.

I tried the update tonight and it didn't work... I have a 2016 Mustang, and I have an older build of 3.0 (17xxx)... When I put the USB in, it tells me that my system is already up to date and to remove the USB and restart. How can I force the update to the official version?

Downgrade to version 2.2 and repeat the update to 3.0.

The download is fine, your extraction tool is messing things up. What are you extraction settings?

I recommend 7zip over the native windows extractor. Each of those tarballs should be *.tar.gz

Using the current 7zip ..... If I right click on the files, properties, it shows tar.gz. Still will not load in the car and shows the same error.

Names are as above when you open the folder and it shows the type as Gzip archive.

Is it possible that I need to downgrade as I am not on an official build version 17276. If so, does anyone have a copy of the previous Ford official version prior to 17276.

so are you getting the MEM03 or the PKG05 error?

You said PKG03 earlier... maybe you aren't extracting to the root directory?

This happens after it reads the drive for a bit and comes up with a note indicating there is an update and asking for a confirmation to continue. Fairly quickly after I acknowledge I get the error...

If it matters I currently have Sync3 build 18025 installed (official build from Ford - installed this spring). This download (18093) is showing when I check for available updates at owner.ford.com. Also, when I check for updates over wifi it does not prompt me to update, simply says "last checked <today's date>.

Any thoughts?

You'll want to install the nav version of the voice.img file using this post.

Yes, you need to go back to 2.2
