Ford just announced a new program for 2015 Mustang (good through Jan 5 2015). While the 60+ terms are not that competitive(2.9), for those who are doing short term, 0.9% up to 36 months and 1.9 up to 48(which most credit unions can match that anyway)

If you finance a $45K Mustang for 3 years, at .9% you end up paying less than $700 in finance charges over the 3 years. Payment will be high of course.

Just so others know. There's several 'military' credit unions that give really really great rates for auto loans. It may require good credit but I was able to get 1.25% financing on a USED car like a couple years ago from Pentagon Federal Credit Union for example. I'm no where near their actual banks and I'm not a service member but I gave a $20 donation to the armed force charities skirting around the requirement to be a service member. I'm sure there are even better rates for NEW purchases like the Mustang. Just thought i'd help others out, thanks.

Keep in mind that you support FORD if you go through the Ford Credit :-)

I'm probably gonna do 0.9% for 36, which no bank or Credit Union can touch.

For short term, it seems as if Ford has a slamming deal. If one needs longer terms, yes, better deals canot be had. Randolph Brooks FCU, for instance, offers 1.65 up to 60 monyhs, and 1.99 at 72.

I am at 2.25% for 72 mos from Alaska USA FCU on my '14 GT. They are very competitive and nice to deal with. And, real people answer the phone there.

Sent from SYNC in my '14 Mustang GT...

.9/36 is nice if you're paying for most of the car upfront. I'll pay the extra $600 in financing and do 1.49/60 and carry a $300/month lesser payment. When payments start approaching rent payments it gets a little crazy.

for all those who are financing for 36 months....I hope your putting 50% down on a car. No way I will pay 900 a month for a car note unless I'm driving an R8.
