Hey guys, just got my hands on a 2020 mustang gt pp1 w/magnaride a month ago and realized the car has different wheels in the front as to the back. Back are regular pp wheels and the fronts I’m not even sure if they are oem. Been looking into squared set ups and from the research I’ve done here it looks like a good set up would be 19x10 +35 offset. Certain online retailers mention that certain wheels aren’t even compatible with magnaride so def feel as tho I’m limited in options bc I don’t want to run spacers. Definitely prefer 10+ spoke wheels as I don’t really like the old school 5 spoke designs. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I think they're both stock Ford wheels.
If you have the PP1, the wheels with lots of forks are likely the original wheels. The ones with less forks look like the ebony painted optional wheels.

In original form the PP1 should be staggered with 19x9s (255s) up front and 19x9.5s (275s) back in the rear. I'm guessing prior owner squared the wheels to reduce tire cost. Sold the 19x9.5s and bought the different ebony painted 19x9s.

Yeah it is annoying tho bc they are similar spoke designs but it looks off to me so im trying to just change them all out. I thought about just getting the oem’s that are on the back but a wider tire would def be nice. 285’s all around is what I was thinking

Okay I think I’m set on wheels guys, any idea of the widest tire I can run in the front with the maganaride suspension and not using any spacers?

exactly WHAT wheel size and offset are you contemplating? Do you mean the wheels currently ON the car? or do you mean " a good set up would be 19x10 +35 offset. "

If 19x10 I would run 275's personally. But you can fit 285. Quit worrying about width and focus more on how you use it. er, I mean brand and compound.

Your front wheels are the ones used for EcoBoost PP. Your rears are the GT PP…they are different.

No I’m trying to get new wheels 19x10 +35 just wondering what the widest tire I can run in the front and rear in a squared set up on magneride suspension

you already have the modified knuckle by virtue of MR. Circa 2022 the MR/Mach1 got an improved assembly but any reasonable tire will fit. If you're contemplating say 295 or 305 up front on 10's, yeah they'll spoon on and bulge, but why? There's a bit of wiggle room in camber, so just knock the shock angle to it's limits, or avail yourself of a dremel and widen the slot a couple mm.

Otherwise pick a rational tire size (265-285) or get a pair of 3-5mm spacers. Those are the solutions. Pick one.

MR is magneride right? And no not trying to go that crazy more so wondering if I could do 285’s without spacers

285/35 is the overwhelming and safe choice. if for some reason you get contact then loosen up the 2 bolts at the bottom of the shock and tilt it away. Spacers are like $15 if that.

Go over to Late Model Restorations and look at their wheel and tire packages, I purchased a set of staggered 19X10 front and 19x11 rear SVE DHP1 Forged rims in Gloss Graphite with the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires 285/35/R19 front and 325/30/R19 rear. They look great on the car and the tires are awesome.

My front rims are 19x10 with a positive 35mm offset, the rears are 19x11 with a positive 50mm offset.

I think I have realized that it would probably just be simpler to run a staggered set up, since offsets are different from rears to fronts from the stock wheels and I don’t want to use spacers. Will I have any issues with this kit since I have magneride?

The last thing is I also want to lower the car a bit so should I do that first, or after wheels and tires? And any magneride springs you guys recommend?

Do you happen to have magneride on your gt? Thoughts on lowering?
