This is what that exact wheel with a 285/35r20 looks like on the front of my car. I am lowered a little over an inch in the front.

I recently came to a nice set for sale with tires. Little different than what I was thinking but here goes let me know if it sounds like it will be an issue.
Classic Velgen Classic5 V2 and they are 20x10 with 285/35.
I was told they don't need spacers or anything. Sound legit?

did you use any offsets or hubs with those? Do they come out to the fender?

I think you are lowered quite a bit more than an inch. Mine is an inch and you look much lower.

I've got a 75lb subwoofer in the trunk with two amplifiers and a supercharger in the front :). thus my saying a little over the inch. :) I think it is 1 and 1/4" lower than stock. The springs are the Steeda 1" drop.

This is from a different angle with my other set of wheels in the same size, except with 275/35 on front instead of 285/35 like in the previous pic. The lowered suspension was only a week and 100 miles old when this pic was taken, so think they settled a hair lower.

do the classic5 v2 rims need to be put on very hard? seems like it doesnt want to go on correctly but is it bc it is tight? Hesitant to force it but mounted on the car it looks like it wont sit flat. anyone have this issue or know what it could be? lug pattern is 5x114.3 and i have a 2020gt .. Thanks in advance

Get them snug in the air and then torque to spec on the ground. They should sit flush against the hub. Shouldn’t have to force it, make sure there’s no damage to the hub that prevents it from being flush

That's odd. I would check the center bore, and the collar of your hubs which the center bore seats on. Is there any damage, dings, nicks, accumulated rust that's maybe keeping the wheel from mounting flush on the hub?

Measure the centerbore and it should be at a minimum of 2.77" slightly larger than 2 3/4" because the mustang has a hub bore size of 70.5 mm. If you measure the bore and get just a hair under 2.5" then you have a center bore of 63.4 mm on the wheels, which was used on the 5th gen explorers from 2011 to 2019. The explorers always shared the same 5x4.5" or 113.4 mm bolt pattern as the mustang, but some years they had a different hub bore. The wheels you have might have been cut for a 5th gen explorer.
