New motor put in .How long should I wait to put my tune back in my car? Check engine light is on because of my longtubes P0420 and P0430 code. I'm in the break in period right now. Will driving around for a 1000 miles(break in period) mess up anything? Or should i put my tune and cold air back in and drive normal until 1000 miles is up?

I'd drive for a few hundred miles, ensuring a good mix of rpms/load scenarios. E.G.5K rpm in 2nd gear, 1500 rpm in 6th gear, and so on. Then I'd change the oil/fiter and load the tune.

How'd the old motor die? Was it replaced under warranty or out of pocket? With headers and a tune your warranty on the new motor is DOA anyway. Give a solid break in, change the oil/filter and go for it.

IMO. YMMV. 2% cashback offer only good during the summer solstice, etc.
