Finally arrived.....had to use some trim as a surround. Oh, also note the exhaust tips... I wrapped them with fake CF vinyl and applied the same trim around the outside. The stock pipes looked unfinished being just a dull stainless cut off at an angle. Ford should have at least gave them a rolled treatment. JMHO.

If you're looking for a good plate cover with thin black framing, I have always used this type below for all my vehicles. They're also available at many auto parts stores and online.

Here's the images I snipped from their website to show that this type of cover does not interfere with the face of the plate, nor does the framing:

And as you see the cover itself is not bulky or "pronounced" like others. It's a very clean design and meets the allowable "plate covers" in most States. Some States won't allow plate covers if it blocks or interferes with any of the lettering on the plate facia.

Here's another trick too:
Before installing, on back side get the plate situated into the frame, then apply clear silicone around the outer edge where the edge of the plate meets the edge of the plastic. This will prevent moisture or water from getting in between the plate face and inside of the cover.

You might want to consider ceramic coating the plate for protection.
Did mine and they stay super clean.
