Welcome. I was a die hard classic mopar guy (Road Runners and Challenger). Took a ride in my friends Mustang GT with handling package and I was hooked. Ended up ordering the Mach 1 a week before order banks closed in 2023. I love the car. When I did the HPDE, the instructor was pretty amazed at the car being stock. Black is an awesome color. Was on my short list but went eruption green.

Thank you, it was love at first site when I first saw a Mach 1 with the Handling Package, the pictures didn't do it justice. Ford stuffed a lot of soul into this one... I've driven many high performance cars over the years but this one has something special, something emotional, it's not the fastest or best handling car on the street but it's not about that, it's about how it makes you feel revving it out and rowing through the gears on some wide open highway or twisty mountain road. That's what does it for me at least.

Bingo. You nailed it. There is just something about the Mach 1 HP's. It's a nice blend of goodies that make Mustang enthusiasts grin from ear to ear. I don't see many M1's around my neck of the woods which, for me, makes it a little bit more special because these cars are perhaps a little more "rare" than some of the other similar performance cars (cough, new gen Corvettes that seem to be everywhere)

That's a good point about the Mach 1's being rare, there is only one other in my city.

Yes they are, BUT I belong to a local Mustang group, and of course there are at least 6 in the group. I guess when you get enthusiasts together, it happens . And there are 3 FJG like mine, of course FJG is the most common color (over 50% are FJG if I read right)....
