I got mine in today. I'm still torn between going 285/35/19 or 275/40/19 Firehawk Indy 500s.

19x10 squared... any thoughts?

Stock 275/40s, lowered 285/35s. I've had both but in Hankook and now Michelin. Ran the 275/40s on drift wheels on the stock suspension. Good overall set up for daily driving.

275/40 fills out the wheel well more...285/35 will give the appearance of more wheel gap (not ideal if you're not lowered).
Maybe I will go for 275/40. I am at stock height and the pony is my DD. I am worried about the wheel gap. Perhaps when the tires have run their course I'll get lower and go 285. There is a considerable cost difference between the two sizes with most tires I've seen as well..

Trying to decide between these 3 setups. Which would be best for a daily driver (bad roads here in Michigan) and occasional track use ? I'm currently lowered 1" on Ford Performance Track handling kit and have stock PP1 wheels with 1" ARP extended studs and 25, 20mm slip-on spacers at the front and rear respectively.

i) 19x10 +35mm offset squared setup 285/35/19
ii) 19x10/19x11 staggered 285/35 F and 305/30 or 325/30 rear
iii) 19x11 squared setup 305/30/19

I'm inclining towards 1st option mainly due to the cost and don't want to go below 35 profile tires due to lot of potholes here (more tire options available in 285/35 and little bit cheaper). However will the 19x10 wheel sit flush at the rear ?

Thanks

pretty much. There's nothing wrong (even good) with 275/40 on the 10's as well. For casual track I don't see a problem at all. And what are you going to do with fat tires on the street anyway... Now if you want to run with @BmacIL at Joliet / Gingerman etc. you'll have to come up to 10/11 or 11's.

I don't know if it's just me but i feel that the 285/35 tires look good on these wheels as opposed to a 275/40 tire.

I might go 285/35...amazon is selling ohtsu fp8000 for $130 a piece. By far the cheapest I've seen that's not an off brand tire.

If they ever get in stock.
I have a set of the bronze, 19x10 and 19x11, that I'd be willing to sell. I got them back in October and have not put them on the car yet. Still sitting in the boxes at my house. They were already ceramic coated and I'd be willing to sell. PM me if you are interested.

LMR's shipping was quick; ordered a set of 19x10s on Wednesday, delivered on Saturday. The finish and quality is very good. I couldn't wait so put them on today, but it started snowing soon after i put them on :crying: I chose Goodyear Exhilarates A/S in 285/35/19. I got rid of the slip-on spacers that i was using but had to cut the 1" extended studs to fit the lugnuts.

The car feels a bit more nimble now. I observed that there's more wheel gap now and also at full steering wheel turn the wheel's making contact (there's some strut clearance). Anyone else having this issue ?

A 285/35 tire is smaller than a 255/40, so it would present as more wheel gap. Looks good though!
